Has anyone ever downloaded, or know of anyone downloading and using TOR Browser? Apparently, when in use no one can see what you are surfing. The only downside to this browser is unsuitable for downloading files and documents. In particular .doc and pdf files can download info from outside of Tor, potentially revealing who you are. Seems very Ltd to me and only helps those who want to stay unseen! ie hackers and the like.

I used it a couple of years back, it was ok but found it very slow even for normal browsing practice

For a faster and anonymous browsing experience it may be worth looking at a premium VPN service, these days there is a lot of choice and the prices are pretty cheap too
