Hello to the forum

I hope someone can help, this is the story so far

I have a VU+ Solo2 mini with a black hole image. The baby sitter pressed the update button on the remote and now the box is dead

It powers up and black hole comes on the screen, and then nothing

I've tried flashing with a USB 3 times and got nowhere, the box doesnt even show up in Dreambox Control Centre E2

Has anyone got any suggestions or offer a repair service

vuplus folder on a fat32 formated USB.
USB in front slot behind flap
Turn on at back of box.
Then put thumb over power sensor on front of box for 10-15 seconds (it will glow)
LET IT FLASH

vu solo 2 se mini then became vu solo 2se which then became Meelo SE.

So you have a very old version, but the above is the flash method.

Great thanks so where do i get the correct image? I'm a novice at this stuff

I had the vu solo 2 se (which is name after yours)

mine took any image I put on it to be honest, but I used to use sunray safe driver images (even though was lorison) and/or I would patch an original image.

Now I don't really now to much about the minis, but you could try a sunray clone image, as if dont work will just be same as yours now.

Try from there, unzup the image, put the yellow vuplus folder on usb.

Or if that fails, the lorison se clone safe images, although these actually run worse on my clone lmao

AGAIN ALL AT OWN RISK, but mine took any images, patched or not patched, or patched myself and never had any issues, so can only go by personal experience and helping many flash the vu solo 2 se and meelo. minis were before that,

Try it, I would have personally gone for an OPENATV 5.3 over Blackhole, but Blackhole is a latest image.

You will need to setup image for viewing and all componenst, but least these images can see if box is recoverable and working after failed update (no doubt it be fine)
