Sky UK přeFEToval additional transponders
There was another stage přeFOCování transponder satellite pay-TV operator Sky UK. Another four multiplexes are now using higher FEC than before. By adjusting parameters was increased multiplex capacity of about 8.3 Mbit / s in each multiplex.
In total, the operator gained 33.2 Mbit / s of new capacity without renting additional transponders.
All DVB-S2 multiplexes Sky UK in the band 11.7 to 12.5 GHz already have unified parameters: SR 29500, FEC 8/9, DVB-S2 / QPSK. An exception in this zone consists of only Ultra HD demo channel satellite operator SES (Astra). He uses FEC 3/4.
Changing parameters only applies to DVB-S2 multiplexes with paid programs. The audience FTA channels from position 28.2 ° E, these changes have no impact.
