Sorry, but this does not work for me. Tried flashing it three times and all it does is boot to tell me the 'service is unavailable' and freezes completely at that point. Can't get into it at all via any means. Can't even ping it.

Anyone confirm they have this working and if so any suggestions as to what I may be doing wrong?

Thought I was going nutz until I found this on LSS:

The remote control is setup for Remote control system code 1, the creator usually changes this to the standard 2 before making the image backup file but has forgotten this time.... apologies.

You can change the system code to 1 on your remote by following this guide :

you can change the system code of your vu+ universal rcu to the vu+ model that you want to control.
the default is mode 2

MODE 1 : SOLO/DUO
MODE 2: UNO/Duo2
MODE 3 and 4 : reserved for future models

press and hold 2 and 7 for three seconds untill the led turns red
press help
press 0001 or 0002 or 0003 or 0004
this will then allow you to use your selected vu+ model

When you have done this goto setup/system/remote control code and change it back to mode 2...... **

Another thing to remember is that tuner A & B are setup for fixed on 28e...... and also the screen is set for 1080p @ 50hz

** You can also connect via Web I/F and change the setting to 2 on the box itself if you don't want to mess around with the remote but you will need to find out what the current box IP is which can be done using the search function in DCC or VUCC..

OK the above issue has now been resolved by changing the remote to default 2 within the image. I have uploaded the modified image version to post #1 above.

This means the image will work with the Duo2 remote from the start without the need to make any adjustments.

No other changes/additions/removals have been made. Apart from the RC config change the image is exactly as Mckee25 created it.

PS: I luv what the ViX Team have done with the bootlogo which now seems to have some animated features. Might just pinch the concept for my next backup. :)
