I was on the vu+ website and came across the Vu+ Player for Android that lets you stream from your reciever to you phone, tablet, etc..

I have downloaded the "vuplusplayer.apk" from vu's website but thats about as far as i've got, i need help please.

Do i transfer the .apk file to the reciever and use a plugin extension?

I am using the Vu+ Zero

Could someone please tell me if i this one is the best to use? is there an alternative? what is the best thing to use for this?

Cheers in advance folks :)

Cheers i'll try that too. I got the Vu+ Player installed and running, although i have to set up port forwarding on my router for it to work properly.

Everything works apart from streaming to my tablet. I am using a BT Homehub 4. Any help here would be great. Routers scare me a little, lol.

ps the password you need to fil in normaly would root pass dreambox

Both Locally and Remotely?

Have you checked your firewall? Have you forwarded the correct port on your router?

If you plan on using anything remotely your going to need to port forward, ive never had a homrhub so not much help there.

More confusing that it sounds - The sooner you try, the sooner you start to become more familiar with your super hubs interface, and the less daunting it will be next time you have to do this ;)
