The Czech national transmission company Ceske Radiokomunikace (CRa) has begun the next stage of its DVB-T2 trial, employing HEVC.
Having undertaken Ultra HD tests, it will now focus on SD and HD.
CRa will also continue to work with the public broadcaster Ceske Televize (CT), which supplies it with content for test broadcasts.
CRa says the experimental transmissions will continue until February 28, 2016 and have no impact on the existing range of DVB-T broadcasts.
