This is just a test with only a handful of addons to see if it can be shared this way but should be useful to anyone that has not used xbmc on vu before or got stuck trying to get it working. You will need a proper ftp client like Filezilla for transferring the folder which can be found here.
Code:
https://filezilla-project.org/download.php?type=client
How to use
1. Download the attached file then extract it to your desktop.
2. Make sure in your image your HDD is mounted as /media/hdd then ftp to that location & look for a folder named .xbmc if you can not see it then enable this option in filezilla.

You can delete the .xbmc folder but just in case this doesn't work i suggest just renaming it so it can easily be restored, if you do not have a .xbmc folder then it could be you have not yet run xbmc on your vu+ or that it has installed to the root of your image because the hdd was not mounted when first run. If you do have it in the root of your image delete it as it will fill all available flash in next to no time.

3. You can now proceed to transfer the folder to your hdd, simply drag the extracted media folder to the root of your image as shown below.

Once this is complete restart your vu then launch xbmc.

Whats included
SuperRepo
Context & Sub menus enabled (mute button)
Maintenance tool.
1Channel (working UK proxy)
BBC iplayer
Genesis
Navi-X (working with audio fix applied) Do not update.
Icefilms (working UK proxy)
ITV Player
Movie25 (working UK proxy)
Project Free TV (working UK proxy)
YouTube

As above this is only a test so if successful & there is demand we will spend some time building a much bigger/better version.

Have fun.
:tenb:

Edit - Addons now outdated so file removed.

It will work with any current XBMC edition image from ATV, VTi or Black Hole but please note, the image MUST be an XBMC version and not just a standard version.

Not available for ViX yet but I'm sure they will catch up some time this year. :snicker:

It attempts to open the streams with different media player settings, install this then both will work.

worked great, only issue i come across if you either use bbc iplayer or itv player then try other addons like genesis , when selecting movie, just stays stuck on opening, but if you exit xbmc and then load it again then they work, as long dont run bbc iplayer or itv player, not a big deal.

Thanks

@lombard Fix for iplayer above works for me now on BBC & ITV.

Genesis works fine for me also but agree some stream sources do not open but then many others do. Just a case of picking the right ones. Before Ten Below released the latest update to the folder (now to include proxies) I could not open anything on sources like icefilms etc. Now I am happy to say, with the added proxies in the new release, most are now opening. So there are many more sources to choose from now than there were before.

I use Demon on Phoenix as well coz of the Asian (Chinese) selection and while some work OK I also get the resolver message you get on others. No idea why but perhaps this could be down to a bad URL or one blocked by an ISP?

Need to bear in mind that this is all still very much in BETA and therefore will be a work in progress for some time to come yet.

Demon on Phoenix is probably the best quality and releases, its not a ISP issue for me as it works on windows/android, its a start hopefully will get better over time :)

Many thanks to Op for releasing such a good beta *-)

I tried with a fresh flash of BH with XBMC beta2 and just copied the .xbmc folder to root of my hard drive...

NOTE: Please be aware that your hard drive has to have a media\hdd mountpoint, otherwise it will not work.

This will no doubt improve over time; but a great stable beta for all to try...

Many thanks to all concerned :bravo:

Read the first post again if you had then you wouldn't need to ask this.
2.)
You can delete the .xbmc folder but just in case this doesn't work i suggest just renaming it so it can easily be restored
