Two things to keep in mind,

1. 1 not all plugins working in the vu+ XBMC version (which is a variant of XBMC Gotham, an earlier version of KODI/XBMC).

If on a new image, then Kodi is in plugins under

menu - plugins - download - extensions - VUPLUS KODI

Unless using a backup from here that says different
